Product Submission
General Instructions
In order to submit products for evaluation, you must have a client number, which we will assign to you, and a signed contract with FiBL Germany [FiBL Deutschland e.V.].
The fields with gray backgrounds in the application forms pertain to the publication of information in the additives list. The FiBL Germany expert team shall decide on how the information will be presented in the additives list. Product names with special characters and all-uppercase letters are not acceptable.
The deadline for submitting products to be evaluated for inclusion in the 2009 Additives List, including all necessary documents, is 30. April 2010. An evaluation will only be performed if all necessary documents are submitted on time.
Postively evaluated products will be published in the additives list. After the evaluation, the data intended for publication will be resubmitted to the operations one more time for final approval.
If you have already filled out the master data sheet and received a client number from us, you may proceed with product submission(s).
Legal Requirements for Submission
Organically Certified Products
To submit an organically certified product for evaluation, please use the following form for organically certified products. The requirement for submitting an organically certified product is the producer having a valid certification according to Regulation (EC) 834/2007, the statutory declaration as an organic product as well as the marketability as a food product, additive or processing aid for Germany.
Not Organically Certified Products
To register a not organically certified product for evaluation, please use the following form for not organically certified products. The requirement for submitting a not organically certified product is the marketability as a food product, food ingredient, additive or processing aid for Germany.
Classification in Product Categories
For the sake of a clearly-arranged listing of the products in the FiBL List of Products for Organic Processing, the products are assigned to categories. Please see the following document for the valid categories for the 2009 Additives List:
Technical Instructions for the Submission Forms
The forms are pdf documents. They can be opened and manipulated with Adobe Reader which can be downloaded for free, or the complete version of Adobe Acrobat, for which there is a fee.
Please fill out the forms directly onscreen and then send us the completed form by clicking on the "Send data as e-mail" button in the form – the form can then be processed electronically.
Next please print the forms by using the "Print" button, and then send us these signed hard copies (plus any enclosures) by mail.
Note: If you are using Adobe Reader, you cannot save the document in this format on your hard drive, but only e-mail it and print it. Please make certain that you send the form electronically using the "Send data as e-mail" button, and then print out the completed form using the "Print" button, sign it, and mail it to us.
